This is a coral snake, Micrurus alleni. It was collected by Ron Bonett our TA. Coral snakes are quite rare to see, even in the tropical jungles of Costa Rica. We were very lucky to see this beautiful specimen at La Suerte. Coral Snakes are venomous and can be deadly.
